More Generator Power for Housing Shortage in East London

Having already supplied 500kVA of generator power to support the construction of a residential tower for a prominent London developer we were, once again, only too pleased to be approached for more generator power as the build progressed.

More Generator Power for the construction industryWith a chronic shortage of new homes in London this established developer is hoping to address this problem over the next 5 years. Their new development in E14 will comprise a stylish and striking new 26 storey residential tower, providing exceptional far reaching views across London’s skyline.

The development will provide a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments, each with spacious outside balconies or terrace. And an amazing duplex penthouse will stretch across the two top floors of the tower and feature a substantial private terrace and two balconies. In addition to the residential block there will be 1 million sq ft of retail and amenity space, incorporating 320 shops, cafés, bars and restaurants.

Having supported numerous construction sites in London with temporary generator power spanning over 10 years for this specialist London developer our Technical Sales Manager is suitably equipped in dealing with and accommodating this regular client. The original generator power went to site for the operation of the site’s the tower cranes to support the start of the construction at the end of the summer in 2016 and the new requirement for the additional 200 kVA’s were requested for the beginning of 2017 for a further 80 weeks to power the hoists.

More generator power for london developmentOn the requested date the Powerhire logistics team that had previously been to site and with a sound understanding of the access ramifications delivered the second phase of the generator power. The 2 x 200kVA’s and a fuel tank were positioned in the designated area with the necessary cabling for connection as previously agreed with the client.

All 3 sets providing the generator power to this London site until 2019 will be visited by one of our Service Engineers every 8 to 10 weeks to service the generators to ensure their optimum efficiency for this regular client for the duration of the generator power rental period.
