Powerhire were approached by the Event’s collaborators for the provision of power for the entire Festival and enthusiastically accepted.

Powerhire were issued with the map of the site inclusuive off all the required power locations and liaised with the organisers to advise and specify the size of all necessary power rental equipment taking into particular consideration visitor Heath, Safety & Welfare as well as space restrictions.

Having provided countless power packages for Festivals of this nature, Powerhire were well equipped in providing the necessary power within the stringent guidelines set down by the council.

In collaboration with the organisers Powerhire’s Engineers safely delivered and positioned their twenty+ generator sets and fuel tanks four days prior to the commencement of the event. They specified their super silent event spec ready generator sets ranging from 20kVA up to 500kVA synchronised units totalling a complete power package of 3.5 MVA, together with supplying bulk fuel storage units ranging from 3000 up to 8000 Ltr fully bunded containerised tanks.

By Friday Powerhire had completed the power installation for the event and for the BBC compound ready for the live broadcast. Their engineers tested the system set up to electrical requirement BS7909 as stated in the Event licence. The installation was compliant and throughout the duration of the event there was no interruption in power which was obviously paramount to OnBlackheath’s success.

OnBlackhealth commenced the weekend of 13th September and entertained over 25,000 event goers throughout the Event. It boasted an escape from the bustle of the city offering a mass of delights to feast upon which included a world class line-up of top chefs creating culinary delecacies, vibrant music from famous artists and fun for kids of all ages!!
